From my point of view, the ideal Olde English Bulldogge should be a devoted family dog of medium size. Great with all children, respectful of authority, mindful of manners, clean, quiet, and with enough energy to keep up with the kids but not so much as to be a problem when left alone. Females should be between 50 and 60 pounds and males between 55 and 65 pounds. They should be free breathing, possessing enough of an under bite to look like a true bulldog but with enough muzzle length for easy breathing in hot weather. Tails should be either docked or corkscrew, ears should be rose shaped, feet should be tight and showing no signs of splay. Head should be large in proportion to the body. Body should be box-like in shape. Gait can be either fluid or with a slight roll. Color is unimportant but the dog's nose should always be dark, either black or liver colored.

Temperamentally, the dog should be friendly unless reason dictates otherwise. He should always be tolerant of children, regardless of the children's behavior or age. The Olde English Bulldogge should be protective of home and family but not aggressive unless protectiveness warrants it. His appearance should be friendly, happy, and confident.

This is my ideal Olde English Bulldogge and what I strive for in my breeding practices. It is not what other breeders strive for. Many breeders of OEBs want big, tough, high energy dogs. I don't.

Pricing of my puppies is based on the ideal. Puppies showing the best conformation to my standards are going to be $1600. Puppies over-sized, or with longer bodies or with more muzzle length are going to be $700. The ones in between will be $1300. All the puppies will have appropriate temperaments but not all will have the ideal $1600 body. Regardless, they will all make excellent family members.
