Greetings from the ranch!

We have puppies! (almost) The ultrasound on Peaches performed this morning (Feb. 27th) determined that there are many little beating hearts inside of Peaches and that her pregnancy with Paxton is progressing normally. This is going to be a GORGEOUS litter of big, healthy, sturdy, colorful, American Bulldog puppies. Can’t wait!

We want your pictures! If you’ve got good digital pictures of your dog purchased from Rocky Mountain Rawhide, we want them for the web site. Pics should show either the dogs’ full body from the side, or a nice head shot. If they are good pics, we’ll put up as many as we can. Also, any news about your dog or puppy that you wish to share with us is appreciated. Remember, your puppy has litter mates all over the U.S. and the owners of your puppy’s litter mates ARE interested in what your dog has been up to. Got any titles? Won any competitions? Graduated from puppy class? Send the info (with pictures, we hope!) So we can include your dog or puppy in the newsletter. Email us. If you don’t have digital photos we have a scanner, go ahead and send the 35mm also.

On a sadder note, Lily’s litter of Olde English Bulldogges turned out to not be viable. For some reason, she didn’t carry to term. The poor girl was very upset, as were we. However, this does show how much harder the Olde English Bulldogge is to produce. The vet doesn’t know why we lost the litter. He said it was probably just a fluke. We’ll try again in June and see what happens. Lily has always been our little fertility Goddess, so it was quite the surprise when she ended up with no puppies. Maybe she just needed a break. In any case, we’ll breed her again to Moses for a litter due in August. Keep your fingers crossed!
